Horseradish Cream Sauce

A tangy and creamy horseradish sauce perfect for pairing with prime rib or steak.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup grated fresh horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • A pinch of sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine sour cream, grated horseradish, Dijon mustard, and white vinegar in a mixing bowl.
  2. Stir the mixture until all ingredients are well blended.
  3. Season with salt, freshly ground black pepper, and a pinch of sugar if desired. The sugar can balance the tanginess.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve chilled with prime rib, steak, or your choice of meat. The sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
